Set atop Pigeon Hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meghan worked closely with this client to imagine a new home on a familiar piece of land. The design was a process of discovery that led to a rich understanding of the client's intentions. We oriented the home to embrace the ocean view and worked through a spatial configuration that celebrated the way the client would use the space. At its core, the approach was informed by lifestyle and values and designed to accommodate both current and future needs.   

The project sought to represent the building materials in an authentic way. From the rough-sawn white cedar siding to the lime plaster interior walls, the project celebrates the quality of each material element and maintains a simplicity that lets the sunlight dancing on the walls or the wind moving across the deck steal the show.
